I am sorry to share sad news about the passing of an Early Learning icon, Vivian Paley. My teaching was transformed by her words... I was blessed to have heard her speak years ago in Edmonton, but at the time, I did not know who she was or what impact she would eventually have on my beliefs about children and storytelling. I regret not paying better attention to her words or having a book autographed!! Nonetheless, she was an amazing force in advocating for play. She believed in the importance of 3 F's for children,  FANTASY, FAIRNESS & FRIENDSHIP!
